Registered Engineers

IFS employs qualified engineers registered with the Building Control Commission, building practitioners in fire safety and mechanical engineering, and Engineers Australia, Chartered status in fire safety and mechanical engineering. This means our staff are suitably qualified to;

• issue alternative solutions to the building code deemed to satisfy provisions (fire safety report)
• produce designs for building permits which provide "good faith" evidence of suitability (design report & design certificate)
• review another engineer's alternative solution (assessment report and design certificate)
• review a fire services design and issue a design certificate
• undertake site inspection and testing of a fire services installation and issue a compliance report and installation certificate
• continue with professional development

           
Alternative solutions

In instances where our clients are not necessarily bound by the requirements of the building code, we can achieve innovative, practical and cost effective alternative solutions. This has to potential to save our clients both time and money.

            
Review of Alternative Solutions

If a client already has an alternative solution and needs someone to verify the engineering conclusions Integrated Fire Services can peer review the work to unlock the benefits of the alternative solution.

         
Design Certificates

 Our clients are not required to engage another practitioner to check and sign off designs.  This simplifies the design process and saves our clients time and money.

Installation Certificates

 We are qualified to check installations for compliance so our clients are not required to engage another professional at completion.  Third party checkers are not engaged by contractors and don't work in the best interest of the client.  Our ability to certify installations ensures that our client receives what they have paid for and saves time, money and confusion.
