Gateway Office Office Development, Mitcham

The office development is an architecturally complex building with several half levels.  The multi use building departed from the deemed to satisfy requirements of the building code.

Integrated Fire Services provided design services for the fire services and the fire safety engineering.  Cost effective construction was achieved with the list of alternatives including extended distances of travel, reduced fire resistance levels and use of steel in lieu of concrete.

Integrated Fire was also engaged during the implementation phase to review construction of the fire services and safety features to ensure an efficient handover.

Florey Apartments, Bundoora

Three multi level apartment buildings were and constructed using a cost effective design that included alternatives to the building code for egress and fire resistance.

The client worked closely with Integrated Fire with cost effective construction methods from the early stages.  Design of the fire services was also provided by Integrated Fire as part of the design service.

Train Maintenance Facility, Craigieburn 

This facility was challenging to design from a fire safety perspective as the worst case potential fire was enormous and needed to be considered.  IFS was able to demonstrate through 3D computer modelling that the proposed design was able to provide the required level of fire safety without the need for expensive fire services and fire resistance.

Integrated Fire Services provided the fire safety engineering analysis in accordance with the International Fire Engineering guide lines.

Industry Park, Brooklyn

The facility is a meat processing factory with large refrigerated storage of raw material and finished goods.The site has been around for several decades and the fire services had never been properly considered.  When Integrated Fire Services first came to the site the fire hydrant system was connected to the process water and general use water main.

Integrated Fire Services was engaged to provide a design and work with the contractors to provide a acceptable solution.  The work also involved providing smoke detection to the freezers and cool rooms which proved to be a challenge.

St Kidla Hotel, St Kilda

This development included an addition of four levels to an existing heritage listed hotel that was to be used as a backpackers hostel, night club and conference centre.  

Integrated Fire was engaged to provide both fire services design and provide a fire safety engineering report to cover the cost effective design elements.  During implementation and commissioning Integrated Fire Services provided ongoing services to ensure all works were completed satisfactorily and in accordance with the Councils, Brigades and building surveyors requirements.
